Upcoming CENDARI Fellow Presentation: “Creating of Registry of Digital Sources on Medical Missions in Serbia 1914 – 1918“
CENDARI fellow Marija Šegan will be presenting her project “Creating of Registry of Digital Sources on Medical Missions in Serbia 1914 – 1918“ on November 2, 2013, from 5:30-6:30 PM at the Göttingen Centre for Digital Humanities (GCDH) in Göttingen, Germany (http://www.gcdh.de/en/).
Marija Šegan is a Research Assistant at the Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and she is engaged in several cultural heritage digitization projects in Serbia. Her degree is in Contemporary History and she is working towards her PhD at Multidisciplinary graduate studies: History and philosophy of the natural sciences and technologies – University of Belgrade.
She is particularly interested in the motivation and work of the foreign medical and humanitarian missions in Serbia during the Great War. Her project as a CENDARI fellow with the GCDH is aimed at creating a thematic web portal of digital resources devoted to international humanitarian and medical missions, which operated in Serbia during the World War I (1914 – 1918).
