DASISH workshop on trust and certification, Oct 16/17

DASISH invites you to a workshop on the topic of trusted repositories, focusing in particular on existing standards for audit and certification and the conditions for their implementation as well as their current use in the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).

During the workshop, we will introduce the audit and certification instruments comprising the European Framework for Audit and Certification of Digital Repositories (Data Seal of Approval, DIN 31644 and ISO 16363), particularly their scope and review procedures. These will be enriched with case studies and experiences from SSH data services that already underwent an audit. There will be a focus on the situation in the SSH ESFRI projects and ample time will be dedicated to answering questions and discussing the state of affairs, particularly the expected benefits, encountered challenges/obstacles and ESFRI project-specific needs with regard to certification.

Registration is free, but mandatory. The deadline is October 10th, 2014.

The workshop takes place on October 16/17th, at NWO, Java Building, Laan van Nieuw Oost-indië 300, The Hague.
