The COESO project, in its early stages, aims at an in-depth understanding of the landscape on Citizen Science funding in the social sciences and humanities. It seeks to thus be able to facilitate Citizen Science funding by creating tools and recommendations for your initiatives. This survey is addressed at anyone wishing to contribute with Citizen Science methodologies to the social sciences and humanities. The aim is to identify your main funding needs.

The survey is part of the research conducted by the European project on “Collaborative Engagement on Societal Issues” (Horizon 2020 REF: 101006325). COESO aims to develop and sustain citizen science research in the social sciences and humanities. COESO’s mission is to enable strong growth of citizen science projects in the social sciences and humanities and to support participatory research through a service-first approach. The COESO project is an endeavour to bridge collaboration between the European social sciences and humanities community, the citizen science community, as well as the open scholarly communication community. COESO’s vision is to overcome the obstacles that hinder the development of citizen science in the social sciences and humanities.
