{"id":22327,"date":"2025-05-06T16:30:52","date_gmt":"2025-05-06T14:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/?p=22327"},"modified":"2025-05-06T16:31:23","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T14:31:23","slug":"call-for-applications-travel-grants-for-the-dariah-annual-event-2025-in-goettingen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/?p=22327","title":{"rendered":"Call for Applications: Travel Grants for the DARIAH Annual Event 2025 in G\u00f6ttingen"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/app\/uploads\/2016\/10\/DARIAH-DE-Logo-mit-deutscher-Unterschrift-CMYK-1.1-700_0.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/app\/uploads\/2016\/10\/DARIAH-DE-Logo-mit-deutscher-Unterschrift-CMYK-1.1-700_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7275\" width=\"328\" height=\"148\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><b>For the DARIAH Annual Event (June 17\u201320, 2025) at SUB G\u00f6ttingen, it is possible\u2014thanks to the support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)\u2014to award ten travel grants of \u20ac500 each to students and doctoral candidates.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DAE_2025_Goe.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"897\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DAE_2025_Goe.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DAE_2025_Goe.png 897w, https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DAE_2025_Goe-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/dhd-blog.org\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DAE_2025_Goe-768x433.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 897px) 100vw, 897px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><b>The G\u00f6ttingen State and University Library is very pleased to host the European Annual Conference of DARIAH-EU from June 17\u201320, 2025, in G\u00f6ttingen.<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DARIAH-DE is proud to contribute to this event, and we hope to foster fruitful exchange between national and international communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to the generous support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, we are able to offer <\/span><b>ten travel grants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of up to <\/span><b>\u20ac500<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> each to support participation in the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Eligibility<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applications are open to students and doctoral candidates in the humanities\u2014including but not limited to the Digital Humanities\u2014who can demonstrate a strong interest in research infrastructures and their application. Grant recipients will be asked to contribute a small media-related piece about the conference (e.g. interview, blog post, etc.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About DARIAH<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DARIAH is a European research infrastructure for the arts and humanities. Its mission is to empower scholarly communities with digital methods to create, connect, and share knowledge about culture and society. The DARIAH Annual Event provides an opportunity for the DARIAH community and humanities scholars at large to present results and new ideas, meet, and network. Participation is free of charge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Selection Criteria<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Demonstrated interest in research infrastructures and the conference, as outlined in the motivation letter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preference will be given to applicants who do not have access to other sources of travel funding<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In cases of equal qualification, applicants presenting at the conference will be prioritized<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The selection will be made by the local organizing committee of the DARIAH Annual Event (based at the G\u00f6ttingen State and University Library). The grants are <\/span><b>partial<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> travel grants: each recipient may receive up to \u20ac500, even if their actual travel costs are higher.
