Juni 2019 im nieders\u00e4chsischen G\u00f6ttingen<\/strong> aus. Als lokaler Gastgeber tritt die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sub.uni-goettingen.de\/digitale-bibliothek\/digitale-werkzeuge\/iiif-bei-der-sub-goettingen\/\">Nieders\u00e4chsische Staats- und Universit\u00e4tsbibliothek G\u00f6ttingen<\/a> auf. Die Konferenz richtet sich in diesem Jahr insbesondere auch an die <strong>deutschsprachige Community bzw. an Personen, die bisher noch nicht in den IIIF-Kontext eingebunden sind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Im Folgenden der englischsprachige <strong>Call for Proposals<\/strong>, der bis zum <strong>1. M\u00e4rz zur Einreichung von Beitr\u00e4gen<\/strong> einl\u00e4dt, sowie weitere Informationen zur Konferenz. Bei Fragen steht das G\u00f6ttinger Planungsteam gerne zur Verf\u00fcgung: <a href=\"mailto:iiif-gottingen@googlegroups.com\">iiif-gottingen@googlegroups.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 2019 IIIF Annual Conference will be held in G\u00f6ttingen, Germany between the 24th to 28th of June. The conference is hosted by the University of G\u00f6ttingen \/ G\u00f6ttingen State and University Library. The outline for the conference is below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday June 24th &#8211; IIIF Showcase<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday June 25th &#8211; Workshops and working meetings<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday June 26th &#8211; IIIF Conference plenary<\/li>\n<li>Thursday June 27th<\/li>\n<li>Friday AM June 28th\u00a0 &#8211; IIIF Conference parallel sessions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Further details on the conference can be found at:<a href=\"https:\/\/iiif.io\/event\/2019\/goettingen\/\">\u00a0https:\/\/iiif.io\/event\/2019\/goettingen\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The G\u00f6ttingen Planning committee is looking for proposals for talks in the following forms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Up to a \u00bd day workshop<\/li>\n<li>7 to 10 minute lightning talks<\/li>\n<li>20 minute presentations (plus 10 mins questions)<\/li>\n<li>90 minute open block (Could be panel session or grouped presentations)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please submit an abstract of no longer than 500 words for your presentation or discussion by Friday the 1st of March using the conference tool:<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/qNOT6i2IAW75C6NS2\">\u00a0https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/qNOT6i2IAW75C6NS2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Final versions of the accepted abstracts will be made available on the conference website and presentations are to be uploaded to google drive.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage showcasing developments in IIIF and in particular would welcome presentations in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Annotation, including full-text or academic use cases<\/li>\n<li>Using IIIF material for Machine Learning and AI<\/li>\n<li>Discovering IIIF resources<\/li>\n<li>Audio\/Visual use cases for IIIF<\/li>\n<li>Linked Open \u201cUsable\u201d Data (LOUD) and IIIF<\/li>\n<li>IIIF Implementation Spectrum: large-scale or small-scale projects<\/li>\n<li>Interoperability in IIIF contexts<\/li>\n<li>Implementations of IIIF outside of North America\/Europe<\/li>\n<li>IIIF communities (archives, museums, manuscripts, newspapers, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any questions please contact the G\u00f6ttingen Program Committee <a href=\"mailto:iiif-gottingen@googlegroups.com\">iiif-gottingen@googlegroups.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; IIIF 2019 Conference program committee:<br \/>\nBen Albritton (Stanford University)<br \/>\nGlen Robson (IIIF-C)<br \/>\nJack Reed (Stanford University)<br \/>\nJeff Mixter (OCLC Research)<br \/>\nJosh Hadro (IIIF_C)<br \/>\nJulien A.
