Die drei ERICs CESSDA<\/a>, CLARIN<\/a> und DARIAH<\/a> laden f\u00fcr den 12. und 13. M\u00e4rz 2019 zum EURISE<\/a> Workshop unter dem Motto \u201eSoftware Sustainability within Research Infrastructures\u201c nach Utrecht (Niederlande) ein.
\nThemen werden unter anderem \u201cDeveloper Guidelines und Best Practices\u201d; \u201cSoftware Quality Measures und Assessment\u201d; \u201cInfrastructure Service Management\u201d; \u201cInfrastructure Security\u201d; \u201cBusiness Models und Sustainability\u201d sein.<\/p>\n

Hintergrund zum EURISE Network<\/strong><\/p>\n

CESSDA, CLARIN und DARIAH entwickeln verschiendeste Services von und f\u00fcr die Forschung in Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften und stellen sie bereit. Zwar decken die jeweiligen Schwerpunkte unterschiedliche wissenschaftliche Bed\u00fcrfnisse der unterschiedlichen Fachbereiche ab, die technischen Anforderungen an die digitalen Infrastrukturen sind aber teilweise sehr \u00e4hnlich. Um die Zusammenarbeit in diesem Bereich zu erleichtern und die technischen Strategien der Infrastrukturen untereinander sowie mit der Forschungs- und Entwickler-Communities aufeinander abzustimmen, wurde das EURISE-Network gegr\u00fcndet.<\/p>\n

\u00dcber den Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n

Im Rahmen des 2017 stattgefundenen Workshops \u201cSoftware Sustainability: Quality and Re-Use\u201d<\/a> wurde das European Research Infrastructure Software Engineers\u2019 Network gegr\u00fcndet. Ausgehend vom Bereich der Softwareentwicklung behandelt der nun stattfindende zweite Workshop die spezifischen Anforderungen des Infrastrukturbetriebs. Dazu geh\u00f6rt auch die Kl\u00e4rung technischer und administrativer Fragen, um qualitativ hochwertige Dienste f\u00fcr die European Open Science Cloud bereitstellen zu k\u00f6nnen. Die konkreten Themen reichen von technischen Anforderungen \u00fcber EOSC-Standards, administrative Aspekte des Service Managements bis hin zu geeigneten Gesch\u00e4ftsmodellen.<\/p>\n

EURISE Workshop „Software Sustainability within Research Infrastructures“<\/strong><\/p>\n

The infrastructures CESSDA<\/a>, CLARIN<\/a> and DARIAH under the umbrella of the EURISE Network<\/a>, the European Research Infrastructure Software Engineers\u2019 Network, invite you to participate in their joint workshop on Digital Infrastructure Sustainability, an initiative funded by the DESIR project<\/a>. The workshop will take place in Utrecht, NL, on March 12 (from 15:30) and March 13 (until 15:00), 2019. Some of the topics we would like to discuss are: Developer Guidelines and Best practices; Software Quality Measures and Assessment; Infrastructure Service Management; Infrastructure Security; Business Models and Sustainability; What role do Research Infrastructures play in Research Software Engineering and more.<\/p>\n

About the EURISE Network:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The infrastructures CESSDA, CLARIN and DARIAH develop and provide services by and for the research community of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. While their individual foci address different scholarly needs of the various disciplines, the underlying technological challenges of distributed digital infrastructures are very similar. The EURISE Network was established to facilitate the collaboration in this area and to align technological strategies among the infrastructures and with the wider Research and Software Engineering Community and their intersection in particular.<\/p>\n

About the event:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following their common workshop on \u201cSoftware Sustainability: Quality and Re-Use\u201d<\/a> in 2017 they created the European Research Infrastructure Software Engineers\u2019 Network<\/a>. Moving on from concrete issues of software development, this second workshop will address a variety of questions relating to infrastructure operation. This includes both technical and administrative matters that need to be addressed to provide high-quality services for the European Open Science Cloud. The topics range from technical requirements to meeting the EOSC standards through administrative aspects of service management up to suitable business models.<\/p>\n
