The CMIF Creator is now available in a completely revised version 2. In addition to many minor improvements in the user interface and optimized
performance, two major new features have also been added: On the one hand it is now possible to select directly in the form the ID matching to a person or corporation from the Integrated Authority File (GND). CMIF Creator 2 uses the GND API provided by lobid.org. On the other hand, the CMIF Creator 2 now validates the input and provides detailed information about errors both during input and when saving. The CMIF Creator is available for immediate use at https://correspsearch.net, where you will also find detailed step-by-step instructions.

New data

In addition to the new tools, many new correspondence metadata from various editing projects and institutions have been made available as CMIF and aggregated in correspSearch in recent months: for example, the digital edition of August Wilhelm Schlegel’s correspondence, Jean Paul’s letters or letters from the digital scholarly edition “DER STURM” – to name just a few.
